MUST READ: Better CritiquingIf you were to read anything of mine, any literature on Deviant art in fact. This would be the most imprortant. READ THE ENTIRE THING.
IN FACT. SEND IT TO EVERYONE.
Today I would like to talk about critiquing. I’ve noticed the same problems everywhere. It’s really bugging me.
It’s very annoying (and also disturbing) when I find that Deviants are poorly writing critiques. Every artwork has been rated 5/5 in all categories (AND the feedback is of a low descriptive nature). I call this spinelessness. You are all too high strung about crushing the heart of the artist and twirling their emotions into a curd of sorrow and self doubt. Let’s not forget the repercussions you fear (the enraged artist making sure you get your healthy dose of revenge).

"So, what can I do for you?"
The man sat, briefcase across his knees. "Sector 2-7-0! Everyone's talking about it! What do you call it? Man and merman?"
"Man and woman, actually. And thanks. But we're pretty busy around here, and..."
"Oh! Right! No time for the wicked, eh?" The salesman winked and popped his briefcase,
